We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of health and safety within our organization.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive OHS programs and policies tailored to the light show industry, including electrical safety, equipment handling, and event logistics.
* Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment, workspaces, and event sites to identify and mitigate hazards.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, including equipment failures and injuries, to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
* Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including electrical safety, equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
* Collaborate with event production teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols during show planning and execution.
* Manage workers’ compensation claims and liaise with insurance providers.
* Maintain accurate OHS records and documentation.
* Conduct risk assessments for new equipment, technologies, and show concepts.
* Stay updated on industry-specific safety standards and regulations.
