Job Overview:

BCD Transport Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Truck Dispatcher to manage our fleet’s scheduling, monitor transport activities, and ensure smooth logistical operations. This is an on-site role requiring strong coordination skills, knowledge of transportation regulations, and the ability to work well under pressure.

 

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch drivers based on schedules and work orders
• Advise drivers on traffic conditions and logistics challenges
• Track shipments and maintain accurate vehicle operator logs
• Operate radio and dispatch equipment
• Record fuel usage, mileage, repairs, and related expenses
• Respond to urgent and emergency situations
• Ensure time sheets, payroll summaries, and logs are accurate
• Coordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
• Maintain work records and perform general office duties
• Understand cross-border regulations and highway trucking rules

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 7 months to less than 1 year of dispatching or related experience
• Language of Work: English

 

Work Conditions:

• On-site work only
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Fast-paced environment and ability to handle pressure
