Job Description:

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation
• devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Operate heavy equipment
• Communicate with passengers, dispatchers or other drivers using two-way radio systems
