Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Install door, window and other hardware
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Co-ordinate implementation of repairs, maintenance and renovation
• Install hardware such as knobs and hinges
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects
• Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed

Job Description:

Cottage Country is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join its construction team in Garlands Crossing, Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of carpentry duties related to residential and light commercial construction, renovation, and finishing work. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position requiring hands-on experience in carpentry and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
